MATTEO THUN
For many years a professor of design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and the creator of era-defining products, Matteo Thun founded his eponymous design studio in 1984, establishing himself as one of the most influential voices and talents of his generation.
A student of Oskar Kokoschka and Emilio Vedova at the Salzburg Academy, and a graduate in architecture from the University of Florence, Matteo spent his formative professional years working alongside Ettore Sottsass. Together, they co-founded the Memphis Group in 1981.
From studios in Milan and Munich, Matteo continues to pursue an approach to architecture and design that is thoughtful, responsible, and built to last, shaped by a forward-looking perspective.
BENEDETTO FASCIANA
Associate Director at Matteo Thun Milano, Benedetto is known for his deep appreciation of proportion and craftsmanship, both of which are central to his approach to design and architecture.
He graduated in Architecture from the University of Ferrara. His expertise in interior and product design is shaped by his practice in ceramic art as well as his experience in exhibition and retail design, gained while working with internationally renowned brands as Art Director at White Design in Venice.
Since 2014, Benedetto has been working alongside Matteo Thun, developing furniture and lighting solutions with a strong artisanal character, reflecting their shared design values of simplicity, functionality, and purity of form.
