PLANK’s presentation at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 is once again characterised by a simple, museum-like architecture, placing the evolution of the collection at its centre and establishing a dialogue between new designs and iconic products. 

Among the new design, PLANK launched the folding chair THEO and Transport Trolley, designed by Matteo Thun and Benedetto Fasciana.

THEO folding chair

THEO is a folding chair designed to meet the needs of the contract sector. A project that combines timeless design and functionality, conceived to appear and disappear naturally, adapting intelligently to contemporary spaces. 

The chair is made of oak and embodies a production approach that places material quality at its core, along with a unique sensitivity toward the environment and the natural beauty that surrounds us. 

Wood, the absolute protagonist, brings warmth, solidity, and elegance, making THEO suitable not only for professional settings but also for residential spaces where furniture is not merely an accessory, but an integral part of the environment. The various available finishes broaden interpretative possibilities, allowing the chair to interact with different styles and atmospheres. 

To enhance comfort, the chair is complemented by an upholstered seat element, available in Moessmer wool, textile, or leather. The meeting between wood craftsmanship and the expertise of the “loden” tradition gives rise to a shared vision based on quality, technological innovation, and attention to detail. 

In THEO, the foldable function is seamlessly integrated, without compromising the balance of proportions or the aesthetic quality of the design. The result is a seat that retains the presence and comfort of a permanent piece of furniture, while offering maximum flexibility of use. 

Primarily designed for the contract sector, THEO is ideal for hospitality spaces, restaurants, and multifunctional environments, while also finding a natural place in contemporary residential settings.

THEO transport trolley

Developed alongside the THEO folding chair, the THEO Transport Trolley extends the system with a practical solution for handling and storage. 

Designed for contract environments, it enables efficient transport and compact stacking of up to 8 folding chairs. Its construction follows the same principles as the chair itself: clarity, durability, and ease of use.
