The exhibition is dedicated to chairs awarded the Compasso d’oro, their meaning in society and culture. With this exhibition, ADI reaffirms a value that has always been at the heart of its activities: the culture of design and production is fundamental to build a sustainable and responsible future through the promotion and protection of design quality.

The exhibition, in four sections, will be set up in the halls of the Supersalone 2021 at Fiera Milano Rho from 5 to 10 September.

About MYTO chair

MYTO chair was designed by Konstantin Grcic in 2007 as a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic cantilevered chair. MYTO has become a timeless design icon.

Its dynamic form and flexible, perforated surfaces make it unique within this typology of furniture. The ergonomic seat and back are designed to follow the curves of the body, making it comfortable enough for use in contract settings where users can be seated for long periods. The edges of the seat slope downwards and the double-curve of the chair’s back ensures there is no noticeable edge.

It is stackable, strong and versatile, which is why you’ll find MYTO in bars, restaurants, offices, museums, universities and homes, including outdoors, all around the world.

It comes in several colours: black and white, as well as vibrantly coloured versions in traffic red, pure orange, yellow-green and light blue.

The MYTO chair has received several design awards and forms part of the permanent collections of some of the most important museums worldwide including The Museum of Modern Art, New York.
